Task
The Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church aimed to digitize cultural, historical, and religious landmarks to counteract unofficial guides who commercialized these monuments. The Diocese sought to provide believers and tourists with an official, credible resource offering authentic information and direct access to audio guides without intermediaries or additional charges.

Solution
We developed a comprehensive platform, ArmJourney, integrating a web application and mobile clients (iOS and Android) into a unified ecosystem. This provided official access to high-quality audio content and detailed landmark descriptions. Integration with third-party analytics and geolocation services enabled route planning, user engagement tracking, and easy addition of new content. The unified admin panel provided Diocese staff with efficient tools for rapid publishing and updating excursions.

International Recognition
The official nature of the application simplified ensuring content authenticity and greatly enhanced the Diocese’s cultural and educational mission. This format brought the project international attention, appealing not only to believers but also attracting a wide range of tourists interested in Armenian historical and cultural heritage.

Result
The development and launch of the platform took six months. A team of backend, frontend, mobile development and system integration specialists created a user-friendly tool that now distributes official audio guides. The project has led to increased interest in monuments and warned users against dubious services of “gray” guides, while expanding the cultural space of the Diocese in the digital environment.
